- Which editions of Salesforce are supported by FTP Attachments®?
Answer:FTP Attachments® supports Professional, Enterprise, Unlimited edition of Salesforce
- Can we install FTP Attachments® on any FTP server?
Answer:FTP Attachments® is a ASP .NET based application and needs to be installed on a Windows server having IIS which supports ASP .NET, hence it can not run on FTP server.
- What ports of Application server should be open to run FTP Attachments®
Answer:As FTP Attachments® is a web application it generally needs port 80 open which is a standard port for http, if you are going to use https protocol for security it would require port 443 to be open. But depending on
requirements of your IT team it can differ.
- Which storage servers FTP Attachments® supports currently?
Answer:FTP Attachments® currently supports FTP, SFTP, FTPS, Amazon S3 storage servers and also supports Local Server (Hard disk of Application server where FTP Attachments is installed).
- Does FTP Attachments® support files larger than 5MB?
Answer:FTP Attachments® does not have any in-built limit on size of file supported, but you can configure it to restrict the size to certain size of your choice. As FTP Attachments runs on ASP .NET
it has inherited limit of little less than 2GB (about 1.98 GB) file size. We recently enhanced FTP Attachments to reliably support file sizes of up to 1.98 GB
for certain storage servers like Local, FTP, SFTP for up to 3 concurrent users. Please note this large file support can be limited by network bandwidth and other hardware resources like
RAM, Hard disk speed/throughput, CPU etc. We recommend use of such large files only if very much necessary, as large files will have less reliability than smaller files.
- What are FTP Attachments/Enzigma account?
Answer:FTP Attachments® requires certain settings and licenses to run. We control this through
a separate username/password which is registerd on our website. This account represented by this username/password is called Enzigma account, and it contains
information of various subscriptions you have and also change settings of yor subscriptions. Also it allows you to renew/refresh your licenses.
- What is Standalone and Hosted Version/Mode?
Answer:FTP Attachments® runs on Windows server having IIS. FTP Attachments® is hosted at www.enzigma.com to use it you have to pay fees of $500/100 Users/Year, this is called Hosted Version/Mode. If you have
your own Windows server you can install FTP Attachments® on your own server, and this is called Standalone Version/Mode.
- What is Custom Link Manager?
Answer:FTP Attachments® configuration on Salesforce requires yout to create various Custom Links
on your Salesforce objects either to point to your own server (Standalone version) or to specify different parameters. We have developed a tool
to crate this Custom Links/Buttons so it becomes easier for you to create such links which is called "Custom Link Manager" and it is accesible under
Tools menu when you login to your Hosted/Standalone account.
- How can one switch to FTP Attachments® without losing existing Saleforce attachments?
Answer:FTP Attachments® can very well work along with Standard Salesforce attachments. So you can either use
both or if you like to migrate your Standard Salesforce attachments to FTP Attachments you can use our Tool FTP Attachments Migrate the standard Salesforce attachments
to FTP Attachments.
